My story is one very typical of Pest Management Professionals (PMPs), no one every grews up wanting to be an exterminator.  I was born and raised in South Baltimore, in the area now known as Federal Hill, to an extended family whom lived within three blocks of each other either way.  I attended Towson University in Maryland, studied History and Philosophy, got a BS and MLA and began teaching in Baltimore City Public Schools.  After several years, and due to the lack of a PhD program, I left teaching and took a job a thought would last a year or so before I went back to school and teaching. That was ten years ago, and after some basic skills training at Terminix, and really learning everything I know at Walkers Termite & Pest Control Co. (Mr.Wm.Walker, to whom I am forever indebted is probably the best bug man I've ever met), we started on our path in this amazing industry. Dixon & Sons Pest Control Consulting, LLC was started as a pest control sales and inspection firm in March 2003.  Primarily, serving commercial pest control firms in sales and marketing vehicles, and implementing service and treatment plans unique to each respective firm.
